yesterday c & c and i went for a walk up the creek from the ocean. the landscapes were amazing and the overcast sky created some beautiful lighting. part of the walk felt like the desert and other parts were marsh landscapes. we saw many different types of birds, plants and even a couple of sea lions basking on the shore. one even made it about a mile up the creek from the ocean, and we caught him spying on us throughout our walk.
after our hike we went into Pescadero to eat at
Duarte's Tavern. this is a great highway 1 staple restaurant with the best artichoke soup and homemade sourdough i've ever had. it can be a little pricey, but it doesn't hurt to splurge once and a while.
