creek walk

yesterday c & c and i went for a walk up the creek from the ocean.  the landscapes were amazing and the overcast sky created some beautiful lighting.  part of the walk felt like the desert and other parts were marsh landscapes.  we saw many different types of birds, plants and even a couple of sea lions basking on the shore.  one even made it about a mile up the creek from the ocean, and we caught him spying on us throughout our walk.

after our hike we went into Pescadero to eat at Duarte's Tavern.  this is a great highway 1 staple restaurant with the best artichoke soup and homemade sourdough i've ever had.  it can be a little pricey, but it doesn't hurt to splurge once and a while.

it's been awhile...

things have been a bit busy around here lately and I have been trying to get things ready for a few visitors.  the yard needs major work and i am going to be painting this weekend.  i love painting.

i have a few things lined in the weeks to come and i hope to be blogging a bit more regularly in the near future.  here are a few photographs to tide you over till the next post.  i might do some before and afters of the yard and the new wall paint.

it's raining

i have  slacked a little lately on the blogging front but i have been supa busy with moving into a new dig and trying to make it livable and cute.  


they say it might snow in down at the beach tomorrow, and if so it would be the first time sine '76.  i can't imagine snow at the beach here on the west coast, but it would be awful exciting if it did.  i'm crossing my fingers.

the jetty...

i went running at the jetty the other day and thought i would take my camera along to see if i could capture the surfers out.  it was such a beautiful day, and i was so happy to be living back on the coast again.  i have no excuses not to run anymore.  with a constant changing scenery it never gets old.
